I have always wanted to become a Real Estate Agent. For years I had my hands full, raising my son and taking care of a home. I knew that one day I would have an empty nest and would have lots of time on my hands. That time came several years back and I began investing in some properties. After much thought and consideration, I decided it was the right time to make my dream a reality. I signed up for the licensing course and began pursuing my dream career.
What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?
I originally had plans to join a different broker when I first got licensed. A friend of mine had just joined the team at Lamacchia at the time and suggested that I speak to Jackie Louh. I decided to do a training with Lamacchia so I could learn more about the brokerage. While sitting in the first class, a friend of mine that worked for said original broker sent me a text saying that she was sitting right behind me. I took that as a sign that I was where I was supposed to be and knew Lamacchia Realty was the place for me. This became my new forever home.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
When I am not working, I enjoy riding with my husband on his 2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. We often take long rides to view the many breathtaking sights of this country. One day we hope to be able to ride across the roads of Alaska and Ireland.
Do you have a favorite charity?
Giving back to my community is important to me and it is something I enjoy doing often. For over twenty years, I have been a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose in Marlborough, MA. Our chapter participates in many fundraisers and services every year. We spent several Octobers volunteering with a Haunted Woods Food Drive. One year, we even raised over 10,000 pounds of non-perishables for the Marlborough Food Pantry. We also “adopt” families in need around the holidays and provide gifts for children.
Another charity that I hold close to my heart is The Younique Foundation. This foundation is a safe haven and retreat for women to go who have been victims of sexual assault. At this retreat, women can begin their healing process and are provided the tools to be able to live a happy and healthy life at no cost to them.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Buying a home is the biggest purchase you will ever make in your life, so being the one that people choose and trust to help them with the process means the world to me. Helping others has always been a motivator for me, and I feel that my job allows me to do this every day.
Do you have any pets?
My husband and I used to have a terrier named Taco, but we lost him a few years back. I currently do not have the time to give a pet the attention that it would need.
