We have now had the pleasure of working with Alyssa five times over the past 8 years – first when she was the listing agent on the first condo we bought, and when she represented us as the sellers for that same condo; then, as our buyer’s agent to close on our next condo (cross-country during the early days of the pandemic which was somehow still a seller’s market – no small feat), and when she sold that condo for us as well; and finally, as the buyer’s agent on our first (and hopefully last) home. In each of these situations, Alyssa proved herself in every way imaginable, which is why we have always turned to her whenever we were making the (then) biggest investment or sale of our lives. As a listing agent, Alyssa delivered for us twice, above and beyond our expectations. Not only did we walk us through each process and manage all the moving parts a sale entailed, but she was able to expertly market both condos to maximize our sales price (most recently, bringing us a pre-market offer well above ask!), coordinate with all the parties (buyers’ agents, attorneys for both sides, and I’m sure many others), and keep everything on track until closing. As great as Alyssa has been as a listing agent for us, where she has really shined is as our buyers’ agent, especially on our latest purchase. In what has been an exceptionally difficult (for the buyers!) market, Alyssa was there every step of the way, from finding exciting new options that checked off all our wish list items; to keeping a cool head when emotions (ours) ran high and providing expert counsel on market numbers and terms, strategies to differentiate our offers; and much more. After a few heartbreaking (at the time) unaccepted offers, Alyssa was able to find us our absolute dream home, pre-market, and lock it in early to avoid a bidding war while enabling us to weigh in on a number of final customizations as the house was being completed by the builder. What usually should be a benign process from the accepted offer, this purchase felt like anything but. From signing the offer to closing, almost six months passed due to building and town approval delays. Despite this, Alyssa stayed engaged and excited with us every step of the way, far above and beyond the regular call of duty – this included dialing into late night town planning board meetings, constantly being in touch with the listing agent and builder to monitor the process and relay preferences on customizations back and forth, and even showing up in-person to town hall on multiple occasions to validate process timing and next steps. We would never want to go through that slog again, but if we did, we would want to have Alyssa in our corner again – we truly could not have done it without her. All-in-all, Alyssa is the best in the business. Her professionalism, determination, and local knowledge have set her apart and continue to impress us after these 8+ years. We have never hesitated to refer Alyssa to colleagues, friends, and family with total belief that she will deliver, and we (and the referred clients) have never been disappointed. Our only (very slight) regret in now having our forever home is that we won’t have the chance to work with Alyssa again – though you never know, there may be a Cape house in our future!
