Approximately a dozen Lamacchia real estate agents who were formerly affiliated with Lisa Chinatti and/or Chinatti Realty Group in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, along with Jason Posnick (former Sales Director), and Lamacchia Realty, Inc. have filed lawsuits in Massachusetts Superior Court, and five additional agents have brought arbitration complaints with JAMS Boston.  The agents have alleged that Lisa Chinatti and Chinatti Realty Group misclassified them as independent contractors while treating them as employees, as well as that certain provisions of the Independent Contractor Agreements are unconscionable.  To date, Lamacchia Realty has not made any statements publicly; however, since it has come to our attention that Lisa Chinatti emailed several non-parties to these lawsuits from her Chinatti Realty Group email address, we decided to post this to provide clarification to anyone who may be interested.
