2025 Worcester County Housing Market Outlook

According to the National Association of Realtors, national home sales have increased by 1.5% this year. Similarly, Worcester County has also seen a slight increase. Mortgage Daily News reports that interest rates have remained between 6.6% and 7.2% during the first half of 2025, with June averaging between 6.7% and 6.9%. U.S. housing inventory climbed to 4.6 months in May—the highest level since 2017—indicating a softening market. For sellers, the message is clear: pricing your home accurately from the start is more critical than ever. A quick price adjustment can often make the difference. For buyers, increased inventory brings more options and leverage, but a thoughtful approach is still necessary. As Anthony Lamacchia often says, in real estate, timing and smart decisions are everything.
