Worcester County 2020 Mid-Year Report

In this Mid-Year Report, we’re looking at Worcester, Massachusetts home sales for the first half of 2020 versus the first half of 2019, and how the market is currently performing in that area.  This report includes single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family sales combined.

As of June 30th, Worcester County saw an 8.5% decrease in sales. The first half of 2020 saw 4,731 home sales compared to 2019 when 5,173 total homes were sold.

Prices increased by 8.8%, now up to $307,698 in 2020 compared to $282,949 in the first half of 2019.

Homes Listed in Worcester County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 6,457 homes listed on the market, a 16.5% decrease when compared to the same date range in 2019 with 7,734 homes placed on the market.

Homes Pending in Worcester County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 6,020 homes that went pending (contract accepted) down 8.6% compared to 6,589 within the same date range in 2019.

The Worcester County market has been consistent with the 2020 Mid-Year Report with diminished sales and increased prices due to the effects of COVID-19.
