In this Mid-Year Report, we’re looking at Worcester, Massachusetts home sales for the first half of 2020 versus the first half of 2019, and how the market is currently performing in that area.

As of June 30th, Worcester saw a 14.9% decrease in sales. (These numbers include single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family sales combined). The first half of 2020 saw 833 home sales compared to 2019 when 979 total homes were sold.

Prices increased by 13.4%, now up to $271,290 compared to $239,201 in the first half of 2019.

Homes Listed in Worcester:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 1,033 homes listed on the market, down 10.5% compared to 1,154 within the same date range in 2019.

Homes Pending in Worcester:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 973 homes that went pending (contract accepted) down 14.4% compared to 1,136 within the same date range in 2019.

The Worcester market performed similarly to Massachusetts when compared to the 2020 Mid-Year Report with diminished sales and increased prices due to the effects of COVID-19.
