Lamacchia Realty has once again been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the 15th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. This is the second time the company has been honored. Lamacchia Realty was ranked #2 in the small employer category. In 2021 the company ranked #4. On Wednesday, November 30th, awards were given at the annual Boston Globe Top Places to Work 2022 Celebration. Lamacchia Realty’s Director of Human Resources, Kim Beaulieu, accepted the award on behalf of Lamacchia Realty and gave a lovely speech. Kim was joined at the event by other long-time members of staff including the Vice President of Marketing, Lindsay Favazza and the Vice President of Finance, Sarah Chaisson.
The Top Places to Work 2022 issue publishes online at Globe.com/TopPlaces on the night of December 1 and in Globe Magazine on December 5. Workplaces are recognized by their employees who vote by submitting their opinions of their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more. Employees are asked if the company has “been putting employees first, supporting their needs while still providing a vibrant, forward-thinking place to work.”
Lamacchia Realty prides itself on its tremendous culture and support and there is truly something to be said about a company with over 100 employees and an incredibly high retention rate. Culture is highly valued at Lamacchia Realty, and each staff member plays a role in growing and maintaining that culture. From when the company first started in 2005 to now, Broker/Owner Anthony Lamacchia recognizes that it starts from the top.
“The workplace is undergoing a once-in-a-lifetime transformation, and the companies that embraced that change, and put their employees’ needs first, really stood out,” said Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor.
The rankings in Top Places to Work are based on confidential survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from more than 80,000 individuals at 363 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering more flexibility to continue working remotely, tracking progress on efforts to support a diverse workforce, and, above all, remembering to have some fun along the way.
Top Places to Work online extras include sortable rankings and features such as showcasing companies that are going the extra mile to make their workplaces more equitable and to help employees connect with one another, and their communities, during the pandemic.
