“Outside of work, my foremost priority is spending quality time with my family. What is your favorite part of your job?
“My favorite part of my job is knowing that I play an integral role in helping my clients make their real estate dreams a reality. There’s a profound sense of fulfillment that comes from guiding individuals and families through the intricate process of buying or selling a home. It’s not just about transactions; it’s about making a positive and lasting impact on their lives.”
Do you have a favorite charity?
“I have my own foundation. My husband and I founded “The Trelles Family Foundation”. Three years ago, we started traveling every December to my hometown in Nicaragua.
One of the primary initiatives of our foundation is an annual festival for the entire junior baseball league of the town, with kids ranging from 6 to 12 years old. This event brings joy to 200 kids and their families. During this fun-filled event, we play games with the kids, and we have music and food for the families. We give away toys, including raffling off over 10 bicycles, and we even have Santa Claus pay a visit (my husband dresses up as Santa). The children get to take polaroid pictures with Santa, enjoy music, and receive various gifts like Pokémon cards, baseball cards, and goodie bags with a surprise cash gift inside. It’s a day filled with laughter and happiness, and we’re proud to be a part of creating those cherished memories.
In our last trip in 2022, we were made aware of the dire need of the hometown’s only nursing home. This is a much bigger project on a larger scale. While we have been able to fund 100% of the kids annual event, we are in the process of raising funds for this new project. Hogar de Ancianos Santa Eduviges is the only nursing home of my hometown. Most of these “Abuelitos” are they are so lovingly called are dropped off at the nursing home by their poor relatives who simply don’t have the means to support them or provide the medical assistance they so desperately need.
This home plays a crucial role in providing care for the elderly, but they face significant challenges in terms of resources and equipment. We are working diligently to help them acquire essential items such as beds, mattresses, sheets, oxygen tanks, sanitary equipment, medication, blood pressure machines… they are in need of absolutely everything. It is vital to find outside support for this elderly home, as their only source of funding comes from the Town’s church, and it’s simply not enough. Our foundation strives to enhance the quality of life for the elderly residents and assist the dedicated staff who care for them.”
