Stephen Briotti is a lifelong resident of the Greater Waterbury area and a respected real estate professional with more than 48 years of experience in the industry. A customer-driven REALTOR® and Broker, Stephen is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and achieving results for both buyers and sellers. Stephen joined Lamacchia Realty following the merger in April of 2026 of the Briotti Group.
Stephen was the owner/broker of Briotti Group, LLC with over 30 agents in two local offices, one at 246 Wolcott Road Wolcott, CT and one at 750 Watertown Avenue, Waterbury, CT. for 30 years. After graduating from University of Connecticut in 1977 with a B.A. degree and working for the State of Connecticut for a year, Steve realized that allure of owning real estate was calling him. He obtained his real estate license in 1978 and started to accumulate investment properties but also slowly started to learn real estate sales.
After being a top producer in his office and then selling most of his investment properties, Steve opened his own Wolcott, CT office in 1995 with just a few agents and the goal of becoming one of the top offices in the Greater Waterbury area by earning the right to represent their customers in the best way possible. Within 9 years, after affiliating with a national franchise and opening another office in 1999, he built the firm up to over 80 agents at the height of the market. Many of his current loyal agents have been with the office for well over 20 years serving thousands of clients in an honorable and professional manner.
Stephen’s leadership and commitment to the real estate profession are reflected in his three terms as Past President of the Greater Waterbury Board of REALTORS® and his membership with the Greater Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce. Stephen holds several professional designations, including REALTOR®, GRI® (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), and ABR® (Accredited Buyer Representative).
Marking his 30th year as a member in good standing with the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce, Briotti Group, LLC has remained involved in community affairs such as conducting annual Food and Toy Drives, serving as members of several church boards, volunteering for Easter Seals and many other service based organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Unico Club and the Lions Club, where he serves as Secretary and holds several awards for his Lion’s activities. In 2024, he was the recipient of the Pontelandolfo Community Italian Heritage Award.
Stephen has been a Wolcott resident since 1987 and is married to Joan (Damelio) Briotti and has 2 daughters, Lauren Petrafassi and Jennifer Bovi. He truly loves this area and prides himself on his dedication to achieving results and providing exceptional service on both personal and professional levels.
