After working in hospitality for many years, Richard thought that many of the people skills involved with hospitality would translate well into a career in real estate. He has also always been interested in investment properties and building residual income through real estate, so he decided to start his real estate career in 2016! Richard’s goals are to become a top-producing REALTOR® in South Florida and to build a real estate portfolio of income-producing properties which will give him the freedom to travel & support his friends and family in their own business ventures. Richard enjoys educating his clients about the importance of owning real estate – breaking down the financial numbers of owning vs. renting, explaining why real estate is a great long-term investment to acquire residual income and financial freedom, etc. His clients would describe him as loyal, trustworthy, and helpful!

Richard studied business & hospitality at the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked in the hospitality industry for 10+ years. He worked as a REALTOR® for 6 years in Chicago, IL where he sold single-family homes, attached condos, townhomes, and multi-unit investment properties.

Richard is from Chicago, IL, and made the move to Hollywood, FL in December 2021.

What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty? 

“Lamacchia was referred to me by another Realtor, Suzy Bar. Before I joined Lamacchia I attended an in-office training with Anthony. I really enjoyed Anthony’s passion and knowledge, and thought Lamacchia would be a great company to get the proper training & support in order to be successful.” 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? 

“I enjoy fitness – running, working out, hiking. I enjoy being outdoors, on the beach, hiking through the forest & just exploring nature. I also enjoy spending time with my friends & especially my family. I have 4 godchildren, and visiting them means the world to me.” 

What is your favorite thing about your job? 

“The best part of my job is helping a client realize that they can become homeowners or property investors. So many people don’t realize that they can afford to purchase a home because they are not knowledgeable about the home buying process. After explaining the home buying process & connecting them with a knowledgable loan officer, the excitement from my clients is my favorite part of the job.” 

What are your favorite sports, and sports teams? 

“I love to watch baseball. And playing any sport with my nieces & nephews during a visit or a family party.”
