Biography

After several years of teaching special education, Michelle wanted to try something new, and decided to enter the real estate business! Michelle is so excited to share her passion for homes with her clients and help them fulfill their home desires! She can’t wait to see their homes and help them in the search for their perfect home! Growing up, Michelle was always on job sites with her stepdad – an architect and builder. She always loved looking at the drawings and visiting the homes. As she got older and rented homes for herself, she found an interest in interior design and everything else homes. 

Michelle worked in special education since 2014. Teaching during the pandemic was extremely challenging in several ways. Michelle felt burnt out and wanted to try something new, so she said, “I don’t have children, my life is pretty flexible, so now is the time to give real estate a shot!” She then left the world of education, took the real estate course, got her license, heard how amazing Lamacchia was, went to training, and saw it for herself, and now she is ready to help her clients!
Michelle has a BS in Psychology, MS in Special Education. Growing up, Michelle babysat and during her undergrad became a nanny. She also did home care early intervention ABA therapy for children with Autism and then decided to move into the field of teaching. Michelle started as a 1:1 assistant then got her master’s degree and became a lead teacher in a substantially separate classroom. She has worked with colleagues of many different careers and backgrounds in teaching, lead a classroom with up to 12 students and 5 assistants, chaired several parent meetings, created schedules, and made sure everyone’s needs were met on a daily basis. Michelle’s experience gained throughout her teaching career coupled with her funny, kind, and happy attitude makes her a true asset to her real estate clients!

Michelle grew up in Bolton, MA. She bought her first home in Marlborough, MA, recently sold it, and now resides in South Boston.

What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty? 

“I heard nothing but amazing things!!”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? 

“I love animals; I have 4 rescue pups! I enjoy traveling and spending time with family. I travel to Aruba annually and help the local rescue shelters by being a flight volunteer.”

What is your favorite thing about your job? 

“When I was teaching, I loved getting to know the students on a personal level and bonding with them. I always tried to have something personal with each student; whether it be a handshake, a joke, a 1:1 lunch, my students and I were always laughing while learning.”

Do you have any pets? 

“I have 4 rescue dogs.”

Do you have a favorite charity? 

“Luna Foundation in Aruba.”

What are your favorite sports, and sports teams? 

“I LOVE watching football. I don’t play sports but I’ve forced myself to become a runner because I’ve always hated it so much. I challenged myself and ran a half marathon in the fall and it was so hard… even with all the training. Maybe I just wasn’t made to be a runner. Short legs over here!!”
