MICHAEL McDONAGH

Mike McDonagh is the General Counsel for Lamacchia Companies, providing legal guidance and support across all divisions including Lamacchia Realty, Crush It In Real Estate, Lamacchia Property Management, Lamacchia Development, and Lamacchia Landscape Construction. In this role, Mike oversees legal matters, regulatory compliance, contract review, risk management, and supports the leadership team on a wide range of strategic initiatives. 

Mike has over two decades of real estate, legal and association leadership experience. Most recently, he served as CEO of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM), the state’s leading trade association for commercial subcontractors. There, he directed legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts while managing the organization’s day-to-day operations. 

Prior to that, Mike spent 17 years at the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (MAR) in Waltham, including six years as General Counsel and Director of Government Affairs. At MAR, he oversaw the legal hotline, standard forms library, legislative agenda, and organizational governance. He was a go-to resource for Massachusetts Realtors, helping them navigate legal issues including disclosure requirements, agency relationships, ethics, advertising, arbitration, and lead paint regulations. 

Mike is also a member of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) and served for two years as Co-Chair of its Legislative Committee. He is passionate about giving back and regularly volunteers for the Pan-Mass Challenge. Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his family.
