Mary grew up in upstate New York earning a marketing degree from LeMoyne College and a Master’s Degree (MBA) from the University of Buffalo. Prior to real estate, her career included computer sales, training, marketing and IT systems development for IBM, DuPont, Hyperion Software and eClinicalWorks. She also directed fundraising campaigns and alumni events for a local private high school.
Upon moving to the Boston Metrowest area in 1998 with her husband Craig, one preschooler, one toddler and soon another infant on the way, Mary established roots as a dependable volunteer and leader in community and school activities, including:
- President of Southborough Organization for Schools (SOS), Chair of Finn SOS
- Girl Scout Leader
- CE Teacher, Youth Ministry & Parish Council Member
- Chair of Southborough Cultural Arts Council
After many years of vacationing on Cape Cod with their 3 children, in 2008 Mary and Craig purchased a cottage in Eastham that has been in the family since 1970. Though their residence is still Southborough, MA, they spend much of their time on the Cape both enjoying their cottage and managing it as a short term rental property. Mary remains an active board member of the Eastham Part Time Resident Taxpayer Association (EPRTA) after serving many years as a volunteer Membership Chair and President.
Having overcome the many challenges involved with a first-time home purchase, an investment property purchase and guiding her parents through the emotional, financial and logistical effort of relocating to Buffalo, NY, Mary was determined to use her experience to forge her new career in Real Estate.
Mary became a Realtor in 2014, excited to bring her organizational skills, her knowledge of home maintenance and her keen sense for negotiating to help others achieve their goals. She regularly attends training to stay current with the changes in the industry. She has earned many designations/certifications including – Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA). In addition, she became licensed as a Broker in 2019.
As evidenced by her many testimonials, Mary has gracefully, expertly and patiently handled transactions for eager first-time homebuyers, growing families, relocations, and seniors who are downsizing after calling an address home for 50+ years. She has experience with rentals, single family homes, multi-family homes, vacation homes, investment property and land sales.
Her clients appreciate her honesty, excellent communication, negotiation & problem solving skills, and local market knowledge of both the MetroWest and Cape Cod.
Why Lamacchia: The real estate market has recently become very dynamic – driven by changing regulations, less typical fluctuations in supply & demand and evolving financing options and opportunities. At Lamacchia, there is a standard set for training that keeps all agents informed and current so we can guide our clients (both buyers and sellers) through this rapidly evolving process. The marketing programs available to the agents are outstanding and the support from the management is fantastic. Prior to joining, I met with several associates at Lamacchia who all spoke very highly of their experience and the support they received. I look forward to sharing all that Lamacchia offers with my clients!
What do you enjoy outside of work? With three grown children and their spouses all living out of state, we enjoy traveling and visiting them when we can. Also, hiking, going to music venues, home improvement projects and time at the Cape.
Favorite Charities: Fresh Start, a furniture and home goods distributor which helps furnish homes for those in need. Big Brother Big Sister and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Pets: We have always had a dog. A year ago, we adopted Tucker, a Catahoula/lab puppy from Arkansas. He is full of energy, very social and a great frisbee catcher!
Sports Teams: Having spent time living in Buffalo in the Jim Kelly era, I became a loyal Bills Fan. Moving to Massachusetts I got onboard with the Patriots but still secretly hope for the Bills to finally get a Super Bowl win. When our daughter attended Clemson we also became big college football fans – and still like to tune into the games.
My Goals: to help my clients reach their goals. Most people in their lifetime will only have one or two home transactions. As a professional with over 12 years of hands-on experience, I want to be a trusted advisor for my clients – both buyers and sellers.
