Joanne’s career began in Law Enforcement (Police) but due to a crushing hand injury, she was forced to retire. At that time, she was a single Mom and was too young to fully retire. Luckily, a friend introduced her to the world of real estate and she started in the industry about 15 years ago. Joanne’s goal as a REALTOR® is to expand her business. By listening and educating her clients, she hopes to help them reach their dreams of homeownership, whether it be their primary home or secondary, and to make them comfortable with the process. Joanne has the same plan for her sellers. Whether buying or selling, Joanne’s clients describe her as being honest, loyal, and understanding.

Joanne has a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Leadership Engineering. The “people” aspect of being a Police Officer has contributed to Joanne’s present career as a REALTOR® as both careers certainly are based on helping people.

Joanne was born and bred in Massachusetts. She grew up in Marlborough and presently lives in Townsend.

What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?

“I have followed LR for some time now. I have watched the progress and growth of the company and interviewed agents/customers as to their feelings about said company. During this time, which literally has blown my mind, I have yet to find anyone with anything negative to say, even those who have moved on. It says a lot about a business owner and company, to be able to be held in that high of a regard for such a length of time. This company works and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I am the Queen of Day Trips. I love to travel. Spending time with family and friends is so important to me but my best days are spent with my three-year-old grandson. He is my little ray of sunshine every day.”

Do you have a favorite charity?

“I have always supported St. Jude’s Hospital. There are so many charities out there and each one is important. St. Jude’s has always been close to my heart. I love all that they stand for and believe in what they do. Kids need a fighting chance and St. Jude’s gives it to them.”

What is your favorite thing about your job?

“Interacting with people daily.”

Do you have any pets?

“I have two pups, Daisy and Sarge. Daisy is an 11-year-old Morkie and Sarge is a 3-year-old German Shepherd. I simply adore these dogs.”

What are your favorite sports, and sports teams?

“Basketball 100%!”
