James Fisher began his real estate career at just 20 years old, bringing
with him a strong work ethic honed through years growing up in the
restaurant industry. From the age of 16, James spent long hours
cooking on the line and catering private events in clients’ homes. While
he still enjoys cooking, the demanding 60+ hour workweeks began to
take a toll.
Inspired by his father, who started his own company when James was
young, he always knew he wanted to pursue a career in business. As
burnout from the kitchen set in, James turned his attention to real
estate—spending every spare moment reading books and listening to
podcasts about investing and the industry as a whole.
With no prior experience but a relentless drive to succeed, he walked
into his first brokerage and never looked back. Through hard work and
determination, James has closed over $13.5+ Million in sales.
Eventually, he made the move to Lamacchia Realty—a decision he
considers one of the best of his career. Surrounded by fellow
top-producing agents, unmatched training, and exceptional support

What made you choose Lamacchia Realty?
“I didn’t quite know what I was looking for when I joined my first
brokerage. When it was time to find a new home I interviewed a lot
more companies. Including pretty much every company worth
mentioning east of Worcester. I could list dozens of advantages that
Lamacchia offers but what I like the best are two things. They are over
transparent. I always tell my clients surprises in real estate are not fun.
Lamacchia is serious when they preach “radical transparency”.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“Unsurprisingly I enjoy fast paced hobbies outside of work. I can’t pick a
favorite but I love Jiujitsu and hot yoga at the best gym in the world
USMMA! I am also an avid backpacker up White Mountain National
Forest in NH. I trail run often, normally with my two dogs. Cooking will
always be my “relaxing” hobby although I tend to get pretty over the
top when I dust off my chef knives. I recently began filming some of my
cooking adventures for my social media too.”
What is your favorite part of your job?
“By far my favorite part of the job is the people. It sounds like a cliche
but it really is true! I am a very social guy so I love to meet new people
but the variety is really what I have grown to enjoy. In the morning I
might be at the office rubbing elbows with some of the most influential
real estate figures in New England. Then my day can bring me from
busy cities to small rural communities. My days are never boring! Of
course real estate is all about relationships. It is a unique position since
you really get to know your clients quite well. Moving takes a while. I
have had clients I work with for years and they have become my
friends.”
Do you have any pets?
“Yes! Two dogs – A Pitbull-hound mix and a rottweiler black lab mix.
They’re named Scout and Skylar. Both are rescues and have lots of
personality!”
Do you have a favorite charity?
“Yes! The Appalachian Mountain Club. The mountains will always be my
retreat and I am so thankful there are people like those at AMC who
protect those special places.”
What’s your favorite sport to play or watch?
“Definitely Jiu-jitsu. For those unfamiliar it’s sort of similar to wrestling. “
