Elaine Saunders is an experienced and passionate realtor who brings a unique background as a matchmaker to her career. With 20 years as a successful matchmaker, Elaine was encouraged by friends in the real estate industry to utilize those skills in a similar way with real estate. In 2018, she decided to explore real estate and obtained her license. After having enjoyed a prosperous career as a self-employed matchmaker, Elaine is now helping her clients find homes that they love and matching the best buyers for her sellers.
Transitioning from helping people find life partners to assisting them in finding their ideal homes has allowed Elaine to seamlessly transfer her skills in listening, understanding, and using her undeniable gift of intuition to create elevated client experiences.
Born and raised in NYC, her first career was in insurance and financial planning. She later moved out west, where she met her late husband, Tony, a native-born Nashua resident. They relocated to NH in 2010.
Her life experience as a wife, mom, and daughter, along with her work ethic, experience, and friendly demeanor, make her an ideal partner in the journey to finding the perfect home. As a Certified Real Estate Consultant, she loves to help clients examine their options.
In 2018, as technology and online dating began to infringe upon my personal matchmaking business, many of my realtor friends encouraged me to discover the benefits of becoming a real estate agent. I got my license in 2018, and once the pandemic hit, I began to focus more on real estate and less on matchmaking.
What are your goals and how do you help your clients reach their goals?
My goals are to help friends and clients maximize their real estate opportunities with advance planning. I recently became a Certified Real Estate Consultant which gives me a unique advantage over the typical real estate “sales person”. I use comprehensive planning tools to guide my clients through potential home improvements, home maintenance, cost savings like appealing taxes, and home equity reviews.
What is your previous education/work experience and how does it contribute to your career?
I worked for a over decade in insurance and retirement planning. I gained an understanding about estate planning and how to maximize tax strategies of client portfolios. Later, as a personal matchmaker, I helped people with their search for their most important “asset”, the love of their life. Now, I am able to combine my life and work experience and skills to help my clients create their best experience, at home, where their heart is, and where their most financially impactful decisions are made.
If your clients or friends had to describe you in three words, what would they be?
Fun, friendly, and informative.
Where are you from and what area do you live in now?
Born in NYC, I spent time on the west coast, and moved back to the east coast over a decade ago. I now live in the home that my late husband’s grandfather built for his family over 100 years ago, in Nashua, NH.
What made you choose Lamacchia Realty?
I had my eye on joining Lamacchia several years before I actually did. Everything I knew about their business model, I loved. Especially the business support, agent camaraderie, and ongoing training. I was a NH resident and licensee, and as soon as they opened an office in NH, in Salem, NH, I jumped on board. I doubled my production in my first year there, and am now the competent, confident, and trusted professional that I have always aspired to be, thanks to my partnership with Lamacchia Realty.
Is there any information you’d like to share about your personal/family life?
I am single mom (widowed) to my amazing son Austin and adored fur babies, Reverend, my dog, and my kitty Dottie. I belong to a wonderful organization “100 Women who Care”. We support local non-profits with collective donations of $10,000. or more every quarter to charities we nominate and vote for. I love to network with others, helping others is my jam, from babysitting to caring for my sweet elders.
