Dana Fessenden is a REALTOR® working with both Buyers and Sellers in the Greater Boston Area. Dana is originally from Boston but moved to Waltham in fourth grade. She left for a few years and purchased her first home in 1996 in Framingham, but then moved back to Waltham in 2004 with her son. She began investing in real estate in 1996 and has over 25 years of experience as a landlord, buyer, seller, and property manager. After working for 12 years as a loan officer in the mortgage industry, she realized her passion was in real estate, not lending. So, after the market crash in 2008, she worked as a project manager in the property preservation field working with banks, HUD, and local lenders to get their foreclosed properties back in condition for sale on the market.
Having 25 years of experience within the real estate community makes her a knowledgeable partner and consultant to both buyers and sellers alike. Dana is working out of the Waltham office and is always happy to meet new people and help them achieve their real estate goals.
What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?
“Lamacchia offers their agents a very supportive community and the marketing tools they offer are superior and unique which allows me to better serve my clients!”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“When I am not working, I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family and close friends. I am a big DIYer and refinish antique furniture. I find it very therapeutic; they do not make furniture like they used to! Some I keep, some I use for staging my listings. Hiking, golfing, cooking, and traveling are on the top of my list of things I like to do with any free time I may have.”
Do you have a favorite charity?
“St. Jude’s Children has always been close to my heart!”
What is your favorite thing about your job?
“Educating my clients and taking the confusion out of the process so they can make informed decisions and the outcome of that is exactly what they imagined their future to be. Whether that is helping a first-time buyer navigate the waters, or someone buying a bigger home for the growing family, or downsizing to travel more during retirement. Helping clients accomplish their real estate goals and creating long-lasting relationships makes for a happy client! I love my job!”
Do you have any pets?
“Yes, we have the most adorable and loving 12 lbs. Maltipoo dog named Sadie. We adopted her years ago and I swear she saved us! My son also has a bearded dragon named ready for its “Dragon”! He is very cool to look at in his cage, but I get a little freaked out by him when he is loose, and you will find me with my feet up on whatever furniture I am closest to.”
What are your favorite sports, and sports teams?
“I love Sunday football with my family and friends always looking for a reason to spend more time together.”
