Before learning the sales side of the real estate business, Cathy spent 15 years learning the construction side. Cathy has always loved architecture and old properties, and her husband and his brother have always been in the construction industry as well. After working as a tour director and traveling the world for many years, Cathy decided it was time to work closer to home, especially since she and her husband were getting married at the time. Therefore, with their construction background, real estate seemed like the right way to go! Now, with 20+ years of experience, Cathy’s goal has always been to bring honesty and integrity to the real estate industry to move REALTORS® away from the ‘used car salesman’ umbrella. She will always try to bring forward things most buyers and sellers don’t think about when purchasing and selling. Cathy is oftentimes described as honest & straightforward, qualities her buyer clients specifically appreciate, hence the reason she has more sales with buyers than sellers. Cathy is also described by her clients as generous and reliable as she works diligently to make sure her clients achieve their goals!

After graduating high school, Cathy took a few classes at Mass Bay in business but decided to jump right into working soon after, and she has had many jobs since. Cathy grew up a gas jockey at her dad’s service station, and she has driven everything from a limo to a school bus to a taxi to a tow truck. Cathy also worked at DeVincent Farms and Russos, when it was a little farmstead in Watertown in the 70s.

Cathy grew up in Watertown and now resides in West Cambridge, near Fresh Pond on the Belmont Watertown line a.k.a. Strawberry Hill.

I cannot recommend Cathy enough. She worked really hard to help us find a house that we both liked, and was within our budget. She listened to our feedback, and didn't waste our time with houses we would never want. Cathy works hard at her job, and seems to be always available. Another reason we recommend Cathy is that she helped us find contractors to do renovations at the house, and we were extremely happy with the work they did.

Cathy was terrific! As first time home buyers, it was incredibly helpful and comforting to work with someone who knows the ins and outs of real estate so well. It was also refreshing to be taken seriously and to be treated with respect even though we weren't able to buy the biggest/most expensive house out there. And as an added bonus, Cathy has knowledge of construction/contracting which was incredibly helpful during the inspection. She walked us through every step of the process and took all of our silly questions. We'd highly recommend her and we'll definitely use her again if we buy another house in the area.

I have bought three houses with Cathy Ricci. The reason I'm a repeat customer is because Cathy is not only a knowledgable and respectful real estate agent, she is someone who really listens to what you are looking for in a home, a neighborhood and price range. She is personable and straightforward. She is not going to sell you something that is not right for you. I know this to be true because when we were looking to buy a home she not only worked with us for over a year to find the right place, she drove all over the state with us because we 'were SURE this would be the one!'. Cathy not only knows real estate, she had the added bonus of knowing how a house SHOULD be built. Before you even sign an P&S, you'll already know what's good and bad about the house. When you hire Cathy, you hire someone who ultimately becomes your friend.

Cathy was extremely helpful with the transaction, moving an older property very rapidly and for a satisfactory price. She handled all of the negotiating, dealt with problems and logistics with skill and timeliness, and made the process of selling a house if not pleasurable, at least comfortable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell real estate. She was a pleasure to work with - efficient, polite, hard working and a consummate professional.

I worked with Fresh Pond Properties to sell my mother's house, it was a very emotional process for me and Cathy Ricci was patient and attentive to my situation (took me 2 years to get to the point of putting it on the market). Highly professional in work ethic, though the area was not one of her key markets, Cathy quickly did thorough research of the area to ensure proper marketing and a quick sale for a fair price. Cathy's down-to-earth demeanor makes her very easy to work with as well as being very practical and trustworthy. I've worked with Cathy on other situations where her 20+ years experience as well as her building/construction knowledge have helped me make real estate decisions I was confident in. I would highly recommend Fresh Pond Properties whether buying or selling and if you need solid real estate advice.
