Brian Fitzpatrick has always had an interest in Real Estate and wanted to get into the industry for many years. Fast forward to Summer 2020 and after a few months of studying for the exam, he earned his license! He loves being able to help people with one of the most important purchases of their life and it comes as no surprise that his clients often describe him as friendly, enthusiastic, and committed to his work. When he and his wife were just 23 years old, they were fortunate enough to purchase their first home in Pennsylvania. That decision to purchase a home instead of renting has made all the difference in the world as one of his goals is to help other first-time homebuyers share a similar experience. Even in an expensive market like Boston, there are still opportunities for younger buyers. Even before he was working in real estate, he would advise and assist many of his younger peers through the homebuying process as well.
Brian also has an engineering degree and an MBA which means he tends to think very analytically. he has worked at a number of different tech start-ups so he can easily relate to today’s home buyers and sellers. Brian also has done a TON of home remodeling so he is very familiar with different types of construction techniques and materials. Most recently, he built a brand new kitchen, dining room, and back entryway for his 1890 Victorian. It was a lot of work, but it turned out great and he and his family enjoy it every day.
Brian grew up in Holden but spent all his summers as a kid on Cape Cod. He and his wife purchased in Watertown in 2003 and have lived there ever since. When they were looking to move a few years ago, they considered other neighboring communities, but ultimately decided to buy their dream home in Watertown. There is such a strong sense of community and have been very happy there.
What made you choose Lamacchia Realty?
“I spent the first year in real estate at another brokerage that was owned by a friend of mine. While I did enjoy quite a bit of success, I knew that there was a lot of business that I was missing. Lamacchia offers a tremendous amount of additional value – training, LOCAL marketing, field services, etc. – that other brokerages simply can’t compete with.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I love being active! I play in an “old man” hockey league which is actually more competitive than it sounds. I also enjoy golf, running, hiking, and biking.”
What is your favorite part of your job?
“Just knowing that my clients are happy with the service I provide is absolutely my favorite part! I love meeting new people as well.”
Do you have any pets?
Do you have a favorite charity?
“Yes – Camp Kesem. This is an incredible organization that operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer. We have a good friend that passed away from cancer about 10 years ago. Camp Kesem provided tremendous support to the kids throughout their difficult ordeal. Learn more here.”
