In this Mid-Year Report, we’re looking at Suffolk County home sales for the first half of 2020 versus the first half of 2019 and how the market is currently performing in that area. This report includes single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family sales combined.
As of June 30th, Suffolk County saw a 21% decrease in sales. The first half of 2020 saw 2,928 home sales compared to 2019 when 3,708 total homes were sold.
Prices increased by 6.9%, now up to $841,803 in 2020 compared to $787,855 in the first half of 2019.
Homes Listed in Suffolk County:
From January 1st to June 30th, there were 4,827 homes listed on the market, a 16.3% decrease when compared to the same date range in 2019 which had 5,769 homes placed on the market.
Homes Pending in Suffolk County:
From January 1st to June 30th, there were 3,379 homes that went pending (contract accepted) down 22.3% compared to 4,351 within the same date range in 2019.
