Lamacchia Realty has some of the best real estate agents in New England. They couldn’t be the best if they didn’t have strong support from our inside staff which is why we started the Staff Stars series. Our Staff Star interviews will highlight a new staff member that goes above and beyond for the company, the agents, and for our valued clients. This time around the award goes to Brad Roberts.
“Brad is very deserving of this recognition and does a fantastic job training and helping our agents. The agents are incredibly lucky to have someone with his knowledge and expertise showing them the way. He has been a great addition to the company.”- Jackie Louh, Vice President of Business Development
When did you start at Lamacchia Realty?
I started at Lamacchia Realty on January 1, 2020.
Describe your Role within the company:
My primary role is to provide training and support for the agents. I run the Real Training Basics introductory course as well as other trainings on, particularly timely issues. I also work with pre-hire agents to work on passing their exam.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My favorite pastime is working in and on my yard and gardens. I love my back yard and it was the reason we decided to purchase the home. My grandfather and mother were keen gardeners and I attribute my lifelong interest to them.
What is your favorite project you have been a part of while at Lamacchia Realty?
The biggest project I’ve had to tackle was making the transition from in-person training to zoom training. It took all of us some time to adjust and on the training side the challenge is to generate engagement. I think as a company, with Anthony setting the tone, we have created a great training environment and constant engagement with our agents and employees that has been the envy of many of our competitors.
What is the most important part of your job?
Listening to agent’s questions and trying to answer them in a way that helps them with their knowledge base. If I can get an agent to understand then going forward that agent will have increased their personal knowledge. Real estate involves learning a new language and repetition and immersion are the best ways to learn.
How would you describe the culture at Lamacchia Realty?
The culture at Lamacchia is fantastic. As a more senior member of the group, I have had lots of exposure to multiple environments and here the agent-centric focus has created a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere.
What other places have you worked and what about Lamacchia Realty is different?
I have worked at too many places to count, including as an Officer in the USNR JAG Corps. I have watched great leaders turn the culture around and poor leaders light a workplace on fire. Culture means everything and it is not mandated. Culture comes from the top and if everyone feels empowered and included then it will work its way into all corners of an organization.
If someone outside of the company asked you if they should join Lamacchia Realty, what information or advice would you give them?
My best advice to someone who is interested in Lamacchia is to watch the Crush It Videos, attend a Weekly Training, and meet with Lamacchia agents in your service area. You have questions – we have answers.
