Lamacchia Realty has some of the best real estate agents in New England. They couldn’t be the best if they didn’t have strong support from our inside staff which is why we started the Staff Stars series. Our Staff Star interviews will highlight a new staff member that goes above and beyond for the company, the agents, and for our valued clients. This time around the award goes to Angela Ravesi.
“Angela has always done a great job but over the last 6 months she has stepped up and dove into a new position and under very unique circumstances has done an incredible job! It has been a pleasure working with Angela and this spotlight is well deserved!“- Mike McGrory, Vice President of Property Acquisitions and Development. Property Management
When did you start at Lamacchia Realty?
I started as an agent in April of 2018 but then joined the staff side in May of 2019.
Describe your Role within the company:
I started as Executive Assistant to Mike McGrory and got involved in our Offer Now Program and Lamacchia Development where I got to assist in the renovations, particularly with picking out the finishing touches for the properties we were renovating which is the most fun part of my job. At the start of the pandemic I got a call from Mike saying that in addition to Lamacchia Development, we were going to be diving into Lamacchia Property Management. I didn’t really know what to expect but I was up for the challenge and hit the ground running! For the last 6 months I have been working closely with landlords, tenants, and the entire property management team with anything from scheduling maintenance, to organizing updates to apartments and everything in between.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends either baking or watching football or just hanging out with my dog Gemma!!
What is your favorite project you have been a part of while at Lamacchia Realty?
This is a tough one as there is so much that I love about what I do. If I had to choose, I’d say my favorite part is seeing the transformation of the properties we’re renovating.
What is the most important part of your job?
I think that depends on which Lamacchia company I’m working for. For Lamacchia Property Management it would be ensuring that the units we manage are always maintained and safe for our clients. For Lamacchia Development I would say the most important part would be to help assist and support Mike as much as possible so that our projects stay on track and get back on the market.
How would you describe the culture at Lamacchia Realty?
I know it may sound cliché but the culture here is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Lamacchia Realty cares about the success of everyone in the company.
What other places have you worked and what about Lamacchia Realty is different?
Before I got into real estate I was a licensed Optician for 17 years – two completely different fields. With Lamacchia I don’t feel like I’m just an employee. The entire management team has always made me feel like part of the team. They’ve given me all the tools I need to be successful at what I do and be able to grow with the company. If there’s something I need guidance on I know I can count on them to help me get over whatever hurdles may come my way.
If someone outside of the company asked you if they should join Lamacchia Realty, what information or advice would you give them?
DO IT! If you want to be with a company that makes you want to be the best you can be then hurry and DO IT!
