Curious how the Palm Beach County real estate market is doing? In this 2021 Mid-Year Housing Report, we’re looking at home sales in the first half of 2021 compared to the first half of 2020 and how the market performed in that area.

Home Sales Up 48.9% & Prices Up 45.1%

Home sales in Palm Beach County increased by 48.9%, rising to 19,566 compared to 13,137 in the same time period last year.

As of June 30, 2021, average prices came in at $695,866, a 45.1% positive change from last year’s $479,543.

These metrics include single families and townhouses/condos.  The categorical breakdowns are listed in the infographic above.

Listed Homes

Palm Beach County saw an 8.9% increase in the number of homes listed, with 22,878 in 2021 and 20,931 in 2020.

Pending Homes

There were 19,799 homes with contracts accepted which is the result of a 14.4% increase over last year, which had 17,306.

2021 Outlook

The Palm Beach County real estate market saw large increases year over year because 2020 saw artificial decreases due to the COVID shutdown.  This year seems extremely inflated as a result of that as well as currently aggressive buyer and seller motivation to get done what they couldn’t last year.  2021 could be one of the largest years for sales that we’ve seen.
