Norfolk County 2019 Mid-Year Report

Want to know how the Norfolk County real estate market is doing? In this Mid-Year Report, we’re looking at home sales for the first half of 2018 versus the first half of 2019 and how the market is currently performing in that area.  These reports include single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family sales combined.

As of June 30th, Norfolk County saw a 3.6% decrease in sales. The first half of 2019 saw 4,286 home sales compared to 2018 when 4,445 total homes were sold.

Prices increased by 4.3%, now up to $584,878 in 2019 compared to $560,619 in the first half of 2018.

Homes Listed in Norfolk County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 6,807 homes listed on the market, a 3.2% increase when compared to the same date range in 2018 which had 6,594 homes placed on the market.

Homes Pending in Norfolk County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 5,330 homes that went pending (contract accepted) down 2.7% compared to 5,480 within the same date range in 2018.

The Norfolk County market has been relatively consistent with the 2019 Mid-Year Report with an increase in prices and a decrease in sales.  With more homes listed and fewer placed under contract, it makes sense that sales are down.  Sellers who want to attract serious buyers should reconsider their list price.
