Middlesex County 2020 Mid-Year Report

In this Mid-Year Report, we’re looking at Middlesex County home sales for the first half of 2020 versus the first half of 2019 and how the market is currently performing in that area.  This report includes single-family homes, condominiums, and multi-family sales combined.

As of June 30th, Middlesex County saw 19.9% decrease in sales. The first half of 2020 saw 7,225 home sales compared to 2019 when 9,023 total homes were sold.

Prices increased by 4.1%, now up to $627,347 in 2020 compared to $602,920 in the first half of 2019.

Homes Listed in Middlesex County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 10,622 homes listed on the market, a 20.3% decrease when compared to 13,329 within the same date range in 2019.

Homes Pending in Middlesex County:

From January 1st to June 30th, there were 9,119 homes that went pending (contract accepted) down by 17.2% compared to 11,017 within the same date range in 2019.

The Middlesex County market has been consistent with the 2020 Mid-Year Report with diminished sales and increased prices due to the effects of COVID-19.
