Michael McDonagh Awarded Lamacchia Realty’s 2025 Unsung Hero

He also has a strong commitment to educating our REALTORS®, and that has a big impact within the field every day. Mike was an industry leader in creating our forms last year after the settlement in 2024, and in 2025 he did even more impactful things, not only for the company, but things that were utilized in our training nationally. This award recognizes the essential role he plays, in what appears to be behind-the-scenes for others, but I am lucky enough to have a front row seat. Aside from providing expert legal advice to Lamacchia Companies Inc.’s leadership team, Michael goes above and beyond his role. He is always ready to educate and lead training sessions for REALTORS® on legal matters within the real estate industry. In 2025, Mike played a prominent role in educating agents across Massachusetts about the New Home Inspection Law, that took effect on October 15, 2025. He wrote about this topic on Lamacchia Realty’s blog, lead internal training sessions for our REALTORS®, and even hosted a virtual seminar with Lamacchia Realty CEO Anthony Lamacchia, to help agents all across Massachusetts understand the implications and requirements under the new law.
Mike has over two decades of real estate, legal and association leadership experience. Prior to joining Lamacchia Companies in 2022, he served as the CEO of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts for many years and has also held multiple roles in the legal department for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®. He headed the creation of many of the legal forms and documents that REALTORS® use today, and he also oversaw the legal hotline for the Association. Since joining Lamacchia, Mike has played a vital part in the growth and development of all Lamacchia’s companies, including Lamacchia Realty, Lamacchia Vacation Rentals, Crush It in Real Estate, and Lamacchia Landscape and Construction.
