Laurie was born and raised in Central MA. She met her husband of 35 years in Boston while attending Northeastern University, receiving her BSN and becoming a registered nurse. She has enjoyed living in Hubbardston for the past 21 years and pursuing her nursing career in Gardner but felt it was time for a change to pursue her passion for all things real estate. All her years in the medical field have instilled in her many qualities which serve her well in the real estate business such as patience, kindness, persistence, attention to detail, and setting up multi-step plans to ensure that the real estate process is as simple and seamless as possible.
What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?
“I was really impressed with the frequent presence of Broker Anthony Lamacchia on social media, the degree of knowledge of current real estate information that he shares to not only his agents but to anyone who is looking for this information and with the level of training provided to agents. The entire Lamacchia group acts as a team, helping each other with advice and assistance.”
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“I enjoy spending quiet time pursuing my newest passion, paddle boarding, and my older passions like hiking, ice skating, yoga, and crocheting. I also enjoy my not-so-quiet time spent visiting with my 6 children, their significant others, and my 11 grandchildren playing volleyball, frisbee, swimming, or just hanging out.”
Do you have a favorite charity?
“Both the Melanoma Foundation of NE and the American Diabetes Foundation are charities that are near and dear to my heart. ”
What is your favorite thing about your job?
“The best part has to be meeting new people and truly getting to know them so I can best help them have the most rewarding real estate experience possible.”
Do you have any pets?
“I don’t currently have any pets but really enjoy visiting with my children’s pets which include dogs, cats, horses, a rabbit, a gecko and a miniature pig named Simba. “
What are your favorite sports, and sports teams?
“I grew up playing ice hockey on a girl’s team in Westboro so I still have a soft spot for the NHL and the Bruins.”
