Lamacchia Makes First Purchase Through Its Offer Now Program
March 2019 – Earlier this week Lamacchia Development a sister company of Lamacchia Realty closed on its first property through Lamacchia Realty’s new Offer Now program. These home sellers reached out back at the end of December after trying to sell all fall and were too discouraged to want to relist the home. After several discussions with Lamacchia’s Director of Sales Mike McGrory, the home seller decided to accept Lamacchia’s cash offer in early February and the closing took place three weeks later, as planned.
Renovations already started on the property and the home will be relisted as soon as April.
“I was watching television one night and I saw the Offer Now advertisement for Lamacchia Realty. I made a phone call and the next day I spoke to Mike. We made arrangements to meet at the house and he proceeded to do a walk through. All the paperwork was signed electronically, and we closed within 3 weeks.
I know people are going to be concerned about the difference in a sale price with a Realtor and this type of program but let me tell you the peace of mind is worth it. After paying a realtor having showings and inspections where things need to be repaired for the sale, keeping the utilities on and negotiating with a buyer over the sale price, the offer was not that far off. I highly recommend Mike and the Lamacchia team,” -Mark, Watertown, MA
It was exciting to make this purchase after many discussions with the sellers. It was clear they were more interested in selling on their terms than listing traditionally even though I discussed that option with them as well. I’m happy we could help them sell so they can move forward now,” – Mike McGrory, Director of Sales, Lamacchia Realty
Lamacchia launched its Offer Now Program back on December 26th with the release of this television ad:
Homeowners who opt into this program are likely concerned about the inconvenience of showings and open houses, the expense of having to make repairs in order to list traditionally, the complication of having to put a contingency in the offer on the next home they want, and the length of time it takes to close traditionally. Though listing traditionally almost always gets sellers more money, sometimes it’s worth it to them to sell without listing and move on worry-free.
