Keri started in real estate in 1995 in Tampa, FL where she specialized in rentals. In 2000 she became the office manager for her South Tampa Apartment Hunters office where she built a book of business for the office soon making them the #1 office in their territory. She created an extensive referral program with major employers such as MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa General, University or Tampa, and more!
In 2002, she opened a property management company with an inventory of over 160 properties in the first 6 months. At the same time, she began working with investors on flips as well as wholesale deals. Her main role was pricing, some acquisition, project management, some sweat equity and marketing.
In 2005 Keri had a baby and moved to the Fort Lauderdale area where she began working with both listings and short sales. She started a short sale team in 2010 where she closed out several thousand short sales and personally negotiated over 500 of them. Keri also coached local agents on how to prospect, negotiate, and prepare their sellers/buyers for short sales. In 2012 she began heavily working on first time home buyers with 100% financing in a bidding war market place when short sales dried up. She continued with first time home buyers and regular listings through 2016.
Keri was born and raised in Malden, MA, and moved back to Boston in 2016. She managed Cameron Real Estate Group and worked as the Director in charge of strategic brokerage growth and agent training before making the move to Lamacchia Realty in 2019!
What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?
“Funny story…I actually wasn’t interested in joining Lamacchia and I had come to a Wednesday training to observe how the Brokerage operates to get ideas. However, once I got to the training I was so impressed with so many things. Anthony not only actively involved with the operations and growth of the company but takes a personal interest in ALL the agents that attend the meetings regardless of you being a Lamacchia agent or just a guest. I was impressed that the training was open to all Brokerages and there was no pressure or pushing to join. The support staff members were not just helpful, they were incredibly well trained and not only had several years in the industry but many have hundreds of transactions behind them so everyone really KNOWS what they are talking about. It was easy to trust that what I am learning actually works because they have used the systems themselves and have found success.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
“Love traveling with family and friends and experiencing new things…Groupon activites is my favorite indulgence!”
Do you have a favorite charity?
I have several charities that I support but am most passionate about organizations that assist the homeless population and specifically children and teens.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Helping agents reach new levels in their businesses.
What are your favorite sports?
“While I am not a huge sports fan, I am a Bostonian so I always back my Pats, Soxs and Bruins and I’m always up for a good live hockey game!”
Do you have any pets?
“I LOVE pets! Prior to my Real Estate career I was a Veterinary Technician and fostered tons of animals from squirrels to Puppies. These days we are down to two beautiful kitties Angel and Newee and our newest addition Mookie who is an adorable puppy we adopted from Alabama over the summer.”
