Jim Thurston Named 2026 Berkshire REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award Recipient
July 31, 2026 – We are thrilled to announce that our very own, Jim Thurston, out of the Lamacchia Realty Dalton office, has been named the 2026 Berkshire REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award recipient! This recognition honors REALTORS® who consistently give back to the communities they serve through volunteer work and make a lasting, positive impact.
Jim was selected for his outstanding leadership and dedication to community service through Berkshire REALTORS®. He founded the Berkshire REALTORS® Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Berkshire Community Action Council (BCAC) and has worked alongside fellow REALTORS®, affiliate members, sponsors, volunteers, and Association staff to help the event become an important source of funding for local families in need. In addition to his fundraising leadership, Jim is actively involved with the Association’s Fair Housing & Inclusion Committee, community outreach events, charitable fundraisers, and REALTOR® advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national levels.
Congratulations on this wonderful recognition, Jim! We are so proud of you!
“Jim has demonstrated that being a REALTOR® is about far more than buying and selling homes—it’s about strengthening the communities we call home. His generous volunteerism and unwavering commitment to helping others aligns perfectly with the true spirit of the Good Neighbor Award. We are so proud to recognize Jim for the meaningful difference he continues to make.”
Jim and other award recipients will be recognized at the Annual Board Meeting on Wednesday, October 28th, 2026.
