Do you have a favorite charity?
“A friend’s son, Matt was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in April of 2014, though he had shown symptoms of the disease as early as 2006. Matt was a Naval Aviator when he was medically grounded and thus began the road to the diagnosis he received in 2014. While he no longer is able to fly naval aircraft, Matt continues to serve in the Navy at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. ALS is a disease that needs to have research funded NOW. Patients don’t have the luxury of treatment to prolong their lives. This disease kills, and as of right now, there is no way to stop it. It is a horrible, brutal, cruel way to die. We need to find a cure. #bandofbellinas
