With a vibrant downtown area filled with restaurants and retail shops, Hudson offers residents the close-knit suburban community while also offering several urban amenities. The Assabet River Rail Trail also runs through Hudson, providing residents an off-street area to walk, run, and enjoy the outdoors with their families.
There are three elementary schools in Hudson for grades K-4: Camela A. Farley Elementary School, Joseph L. Mulready Elementary School, and Forest Avenue Elementary School.
There is one middle school, David J. Quinn Middle School, for grades 5-7. For grades 8-12, there is one high school, Hudson High School. In 2004, the old Hudson High School was demolished and replaced with a new multi-million-dollar building with state-of-the-art technology, a new practice football field, six renovated tennis courts, two baseball/softball fields, and a clubhouse for the Hudson High School Athletics Booster Club. Hudson High School also has an impressive 11.2 to 1 student to teacher ratio.
