SUMMER FIREWORKS IN THE
GREATER NEWBURYPORT AREA

Summer celebrations across the nation are in full swing. Right here on the North Shore of Massachusetts, in the Greater Newburyport Area, we have a summer full of evening fireworks displays. 

Beach locations: Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts, and Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, feature fireworks displays weekly. Amesbury, MA, salutes the 4th of July as well as Amesbury Days with a fireworks spectacular at Woodsom Farm, and Newburyport, MA, wraps up its Yankee Homecoming celebration with a full fireworks display over the waterfront.  

So grab a beach blanket, some chairs, and snacks (don’t forget the bug spray), and fill your calendar with summer evening dates full of fireworks displays. 

Amesbury, MA - July 4, 2026 - 5:30-10:00 PM

This annual celebration is the grand finale of Amesbury Days. Parking starts at Woodsom Farm, 208 Lions Mouth Rd, Amesbury, MA, at 5:30. Live music and food start at 6:00 PM. Fireworks start at 9:00. 

Hampton Beach, New Hampshire - Wednesdays at 9:30 PM

Every Wednesday evening in the summer, weather permitting, Hampton Beach puts on a fireworks show not to be missed, over the ocean from the beach. Fireworks are set off at the top of B and C Streets (rain date following Friday). Check out their website here.

Newburyport, MA - August 1, 2026 - 9:15 - 11:30 PM

Grab your chairs and blankets and head to Newburyport’s beautiful, historic waterfront located at 36 Market Square, Newburyport, to enjoy an evening of live music and a spectacular fireworks display over the Merrimack River as part of the annual Yankee Homecoming festival.  

Salisbury Beach, MA - Fridays at 10:15 PM

Saturdays come to life at Salisbury Beach with live music at the Salisbury Oceanfront Stage at 7:30 PM followed by a Beachfront Fireworks Show. (weather permitting)
