Dorothy Donna Petrella

Dorothy Donna is one of the proud group members of Property Sisters! She has lived in Peabody since 1992 where she still volunteers at her local church and currently holds the title of Vice President of the local OSIA Peabody Ladies Lodge 1964.  She has always been proud to be involved with her children’s school PTO, where she volunteered on a daily basis.

She and her husband, Peter, have always been business owners and they learned much of their professional business ethics through both of their parents. Dorothy Donna is customer service driven and is personable and professional. One of her main goals is to educate buyers and sellers with their transactions every step of the way to make their experience enjoyable. Whereas though many of her family members are real estate agents, they thought it would be fitting to have their group name be Property Sisters, where they pride themselves on ethics, education, experience, integrity, and honesty.

Outside of Work I Enjoy:

I love to spending time with my family and friends, hands down!  I have a large family and there never seems to be enough time to enjoy them all. I have 3 fantastic children, along with their spouses, Andrea and husband Michael, PJ and wife Casey, and Samantha who is also a group member of Property Sisters. I have 3 beautiful and entertaining young grandchildren as well, Nathanael, Levi, and Madelyn that my husband Peter and I adore!

My family and I also love to travel, especially Disney World! We are DVC members and enjoy the exhausting vacations at Walt Disney World. To us, it is “the happiest place on earth”!

My Favorite Sports:

I will always stand behind our home teams! But I must say, my FAVORITE teams where the ones my children played on. They weren’t professional teams, but they were fun and exciting and I loved to watch them play, I hated missing a game!  With three growing children and back to back activities it was bound to happen!

Favorite Part of My Job:

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible”-Walt Disney.

Ok, so it may not be impossible, but it may feel like that many times depending on the current market conditions (and I just really like that quote above).

In our current market, the housing supply is low and in high demand, it can become a challenge to find a “dream home” for my clients. I like a challenge! Even though it may not be impossible to find a beautiful home in these current market conditions, sell a home in a buyer’s market, locate commercial space or a specific lot of land for residential or commercial use, it may make you feel that way. Flexibility and knowledge are needed for our ever-evolving market!

Another favorite part of my job is conducting educational seminars at local senior centers, along with members of my team, Property Sisters. We teach about senior safety and various other topics.  We meet many wonderful people where it is always rewarding to know you may have taught someone something new to keep them from being an easy target for various scams. According to sources, scammers are becoming more aggressive in their plans to target seniors.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have 3 rescue animals. Lola, a very happy, friendly, loving and energetic beagle, min-pin mix, Rigatoni (Tony), an outgoing long-haired domestic cat who loves to eat and greats you when you come home like a dog; and last but not least Nino, a handsome shy guy who is very nervous but does extremely well in our home. I have always enjoyed animals as they bring much joy to our lives.  I always say; “I didn’t rescue them, they rescued me!” As a result of my love for animals, I earned my designation as “A Pet Friendly Real Estate Agent”.

Do you have a favorite charity?

Yes, I have many charities that I am passionate about. As a cancer survivor, I have supported our local Relay for Life and have been honored to be a spokesperson at several of their events. By sharing my personal story and experiences, I hope to bring awareness to the circumstances surrounding thyroid cancer, a form of cancer that is rising globally since the mid-1990s, according to sources. I hope my story can save a life someday.

Hometown Heroes is another program that I believe in which recognizes and rewards the brave men and woman of the military who put their lives on the line every day so we can live freely. Lamacchia Realty also has a program for our “Heroes” which I am eager to learn about. I believe in giving back to the people who dedicate their lives to provide us with freedom.

As Vice President and current member of the OSIA Peabody Ladies Lodge 1964, our mission is to raise money and give back in the form of book awards. We also raise funds to donate for medical research, culture preservation, disaster relief, and other causes. Here we working together to help make a better tomorrow.

What made you want to join Lamacchia Realty?

“Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.” – Peter F. Drucker

I am thrilled Lamacchia Realty expanded his business to the North Shore! As a previous franchise owner, I believe BRANDING is the most important thing you can do for your business. It is obvious Anthony has a passion for this industry through his advertising, training and agent support, and he cares about the future of his business, agents, and staff. As I began to learn more about what Lamacchia Realty offers their buyers and sellers, along with his staff and agents, I was impressed! I love the structure, culture, support systems, and energy! I also get to work and learn from some of the most experienced and reputable agents in Massachusetts!
