The Boston Children’s Hospital & Eversource Walk for Kids is almost here—help Anthony reach his goal!
Anthony is excited to be walking again this year. Last year was the first time in many years that he and his family were unable to make it. So this year they are hoping to raise more money than ever! The Annual Eversource Walk for Kids helps fund programs to improve the health of sick children and it also helps maintain the facilities where these kids and families struggle every day.
Boston Children’s Hospital means so much to Anthony’s Family for many reasons. First and foremost his baby sister Heather was there in 2000 and despite the wonderful care they gave her she did not make it.
My family and I enjoy raising money for the hospital in honor of my sister Heather, she did receive great care but didn’t make it through”
said Anthony Lamacchia.
Anthony also spent a couple of weeks there in 1997 after a rare football injury. He asks that you think for a minute about someone you know or have known that has been affected by a child’s sickness or passing. The money raised by this walk is always well utilized and supports more research, better equipment and even toys to bring a smile to a sick child’s face.
There is nothing worse than a child being sick but it unfortunately happens and we are lucky to have the best hospital right here in Boston to take care of them,”
