Housing:
The housing market in Beverly, MA is growing rapidly. The median home value across single, condo and multis in the last 12 months according to MLSPIN is $465,451. Beverly offers a few convenient commuter rail stops into Boston for those who work in the city and it offers a quiet coast living community with 5 beaches making it a great place to call home.
Lifestyle:
There is a lot to do in Beverly and by living right on the coast you can experience two different lifestyles depending what side of town you are on. A large portion of the western side of the town is urbanized while the right side closer towards the ocean is more rural. You’ll have the opportunity to visit 5 beaches, along with various yacht and beach clubs. Beverly is also home to a few music theaters such as North Shore Music Theatre, The Cabot Theater, and The Larcom Theatre.
Education:
If you have children, you’ll be sending them to one of many available elementary schools, Briscoe Middle School, and Beverly High School. The high school itself has an enrollment around 1,300 students with an average of 325 kids per class. You’ll also be sending your children to a fairly new high school. The construction of the brand new high school was completed in 2011. The location of the old high school has made way for two new turf fields. Beverly is home to two colleges, Endicott College and Montserrat College of Art- both of which are situated on or near the beach.
Culture/History:
Beverly, originally a part of Salem in the 17th century, officiated broke away and incorporated in 1668 because of religious differences. Beverly has a handful of noteworthy historical moments as the site of the first cotton mill in 1787, the first ship commissioned for the US military in 1775 and one of the first Sunday Schools in the country.
Employment:
