On Monday, June 15, 2020, Anthony Lamacchia was awarded The Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Private Property Rights Award. This prestigious award honors a REALTOR® who exemplifies hard work and commitment to government affairs affecting REALTORS® and the real estate profession. The award is typically presented at the REALTOR® Day on Beacon Hill to a MAR member who commits their time, passionately, to the betterment of the profession through continuous advocacy, efforts to understand legislative issues, and involvement in government affairs and the REALTOR® Political Action Committee. This year, the award was presented to Anthony at his home by Peter Ruffini, the 2019 recipient of this award.
“This award was created in 2011 by MAR to recognize the outstanding achievements of a Massachusetts REALTOR® or staff member who has been dedicated and supportive of the mission of all levels of the REALTOR® association surrounding the rights of the public who enjoy homeownership. An individual who is a leader by example who has contributed countless time and energy to Government Affairs RPAC and continues to demonstrate his or her passion for the preservation of private property rights. A REALTOR® who doesn’t just talk the talk but walks the walk day in and day out. This year’s recipient has been very involved for a very long time, he’s been pretty instrumental in my involvement here at Government Affairs, he’s one to always share his thoughts never hide his feelings and always fights the good fight…“ – Amy Wallick, Chair Government Affairs Committee, MAR Virtual REALTOR® Day on Beacon Hill
“I always say my biggest regret since getting into the real estate business in 2004 was not getting involved with the association and advocacy right from the beginning. Looking back, I’m so glad I did with the encouragement of several friends in the business and I have enjoyed all the work that I have done. It’s an honor to be recognized with the people who have won this award before me. Thank you.” – Anthony Lamacchia, 2020 recepient of the MAR Private Property Rights Award
