Home Sales Up 0.4% + Prices Up 7.6%

As of December 31, 2021, Braintree home sales were up 0.4% over 2020.  There were 524 sales in 2021 over 522 in 2020.  Prices increased by 7.6% now at $583,568 over 2020 when prices averaged $542,379.

Homes Listed in Braintree:

In 2021, there were 529 Braintree homes listed on the market, down 1.1% over 2020 when 535 were listed.

Homes Pending in Braintree:

Braintree 2021 saw a 2.1% increase in the number of homes placed under agreement with 495 over 485 in 2020.


Despite the pandemic, the Braintree market performed well, with only a slight decrease in single-family home sales year over year. Average price has increased in all categories. 2022 is predicted to have its challenges, notably low inventory and high competition similar to what we saw in 2021, but the number of sales and average price are expected to remain on the rise.
