Home Sales Up 8.1% + Prices Up 7.6%
As of December 31, 2020, Beverly home sales increased by 8.1% as there were 494 sales in 2019 and 534 in 2020. Average prices increased by 7.6% going from $499,618 in 2019 to $537,408 in 2020. These metrics include single families, condos, and multi-families.
Homes Listed in Beverly:
There were 570 homes in Beverly listed for sale in 2020, up 6.5% from 2019 when there were 535.
Homes Pending in Beverly:
Beverly saw a 16% decrease in homes put under agreement in 2020 as there were 548 compared to 652 in 2019.
The Beverly market was very strong in 2020 in spite of the pandemic. After the real estate market halted during the shutdown in March, July through the end of the year experienced a frenzied, fast-paced market in which Beverly was able to beat 2019 for the number of sales and average prices. It’s predicted that 2021 will yield a very similar outcome and beat 2020 with droves of motivated buyers and sellers who put their plans on pause during Covid.
